Notes from Shapiro's Deli

Just one year ago on 4th of July 2008 I was sitting on break with my co-manager, Cecilia, when I see a guy at the cash register who looks like the singer John Mayer.  When I saw the lady behind him in line I went into shock!  It was Jennifer Anniston!!  John Mayer was appearing at Verizon Music Center the next day, which I should have known since my daughter was going to see him.  They were ever so gracious when I asked for a photograph.  I am still appalled at my own photo, but I wore that lucky shirt to work yesterday anyway.  Sadly there were no celebrity sightings this year.   

Carmelfest went off as planned with a successful parade right in front on the Carmel Indiana Shapiro's Deli.  Unfortunately the Downtown Indianapolis Deli suffered through an all day rain, resulting in the postponement of our downtown fireworks display.  So here we are again today, Sunday, serving everyone who was rained out yesterday.  Thanks for stopping by!
