Shapiro's Deli is open at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings and we will be here to get you ready for the race. Order your race day carryout items and then sit down for a great breakfast! Bagels, lox, cream cheese, or eggs any way you want them. We serve beef bacon, turkey bacon, corned beef hash, turkey hash, biscuits and gravy and a variety of omelets. Our Carmel location has even more breakfast specialties, such as Banana Stuffed French Toast, Chicken and Egg Frittata, or Salmon Eggs Benedict.

The Stadium Village Farmers Market will open Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 and be open from 4:00 to 7:00 pm each Tuesday through September 27th. You may have met Suzanne Litterall last year at her market booth for Litterally Divine Toffee and Truffles. Suzanne will lead the market this season with the full backing of her advisory committee and coaching from last year’s market master, Theresa Stites. The market is located just across the street from Shapiro's Deli Downtown at the corner of Meridian & McCarty Streets, in the open parking lot. There is plenty of free parking available at Shapiro's. This year's market will feature more activities, artisan products and exhibits and introduce a limited number of products not produced in the central Indiana area. The season is shaping up with a great mix of vendors and some new faces. Look for monthly themes for community, health, green, and art specialties highlighted.
This coming weekend is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in downtown Indianapolis. The race starts Saturday morning, April 16th at IUPUI. Believe it or not, this is the 20th anniversary of the race in central Indiana! One of our employees, Norma, is a breast cancer survivor and will be walking in support of the cause on Saturday. Shapiro's is open at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast. We have eggs any way you like them, french toast, corned beef hash, oatmeal and fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, beef and turkey bacon, and breakfast potatoes. Stop by before or after the race. It is Women's NCAA Final Four weekend in Indianapolis! Playing in their home state will be the NOTRE DAME IRISH taking on the Connecticut Huskies. Games will be played at Conseco Fieldhouse, which is just minutes from Shapiro's Deli Downtown. There are MANY, MANY other activities going on throughout the weekend before the championship game on Tuesday evening.
The BUTLER BULLDOGS will be playing in Houston on Saturday and I'm sure there will be a hush in the city of Indianapolis as everyone watches this game. My daughter happens to attend Butler and will be working at Shapiro's on Saturday - keeping one eye on the game. We will definitely have the restaurant television tuned in to the Butler game!

Beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 9th, Shapiro's Deli in Indianapolis and Carmel will be serving fried perch every day during lunch.
