Please call to make a reservation in advance. If you are having a morning meeting, let us set you up with a beautiful pastry tray along with coffee and juice. Our sandwich of the month at the Carmel, Indiana deli is CHICKEN SALAD for just $5. This is valid Monday to Friday, dine in only, not valid with any other offers or on holidays. Put it on your choice of fresh baked bread - rye, white, wheat, egg bun, croissant, sourdough, onion bun or kaiser roll. The croissant is an additional $1.25 but it is well worth it. Our made-from-scratch chicken salad features grapes and walnuts, giving it a delicious flavor.

I'm not sure how we got our football schedule this year, but with the Colts it's a whole lot of 'hurry up and wait" for home games. We won't have another one until October 4th, then we have to wait another 4 weeks until November 1st - but then we get 3 in a row!! I'm more than happy to sit in the easy chair to watch a game but I want good food while I'm watching. How about you? You know you will be in good hands if you order from Shapiro's. If you've ever been to the Indianapolis Deli you surely have seen Russell in the front window cutting our meat every day. Russell has been with Shapiro's for......ever it seems! We found out today Russell is going to have some bypass surgery. We wish him a successful operation and a quick recovery! He has been working in the early, early morning for many years now. No one can cut meat for our meat case like him. He is hands down the best meat cutter in the restaurant. If you ordered a party tray, Russell cut the meat. If you had a catering order, Russell probably cut your meat. If you came in for breakfast, you probably got a "Good Morning" from Russell. If you came in to pick up bagels, Russell took care of you. Everybody think good thoughts for Russell! Hopefully he will be back in the front window of Shapiro's soon.
