Shapiro's Delicatessen has long been the political lunch spot for candidates from both sides of the aisle. Evan Bayh would regularly eat lunch when he was in town. NYC Mayor Bloomberg was in for breakfast before the Superbowl game. Rudy Giuliani campaigned four years ago at Shapiro's. Joe Biden has made a stop to meet our customers. We do have a great mix of customers with various views and backgrounds - that's why they come.
Rumor has it that Senator John McCain will be stopping by Shapiro's downtown Wednesday October 17th around lunch time. He is in town supporting Richard Mourdock and has called to say they will be stopping in to meet the Shapiro's customers.
WXIN Fox 59 will also be downtown Wednesday filming a segment in our parking lot. They will have three cars and ask people to see if they can tell which one has been wrecked just by looking at them.
Join us for lunch Wednesday, October 17th for all of the fun!
